It was an encounter that touched many hearts: Ukrainian TV presenter Ruslan Senichkin discovered a little dog in a Ukrainian gas station who appears to have no owner. And in fact, in a video shared by the TV host on Instagram, we see her sitting in front of the building. If she seems calm, her look gives off a deep sadness, despite the large number of hugs she receives daily.
And for good reason, in his article, Ruslan Senichkin says that Lochka’s story is actually rather sad. Indeed, its owner, Alexei Savransky, worked here and always took his dog with him. But on April 18, 2023, the 25-year-old died on the eastern Ukrainian front while fighting against Russian troops.

Since then, Lochka has obviously been waiting for his return to this location, a gas station employee also confirms.
“This female dog is our version of Ukrainian Hachiko”
Hachiko is famous in Japan for having waited, daily and for almost ten years, for his master at Shibuya station after the latter’s death.
“The little one has protectors”
The reactions to Senichkin’s message about little Lochka are numerous and, of course, moving. Many users were deeply touched by the dog’s loyalty and expressed their desire to help her. “Please take her with you,” we can read in a comment under the TV host’s video. Others even expressed the wish to come and get her.
“She is well surrounded. Nevertheless, even after her master’s death, she comes to the place where she has always been with him. Loyalty is exactly what this story is about.”
But the story ends well for Lochka. Indeed, the little dog is in the care of the family and friends of her late owner, who take care of her.
