During the last day in D1 Ladies before the break, the first of the return phase of the championship, Boitsfort suffered like never before this season before winning at Dendermonde to finish 2024 undefeated. Gent, for their part, played against BBRFC Celtic. Kituro, winner of Frameries, and Soignies, winner in Leuven, will spend the holidays in good positions.

Their ninth victory of the season, in nine games, the Ladies of Boitsfort were “looking for it” as they say. Because the Gazelles of Dendermonde were waiting for them with a certain appetite, they who had eight consecutive victories since their defeat on the first day… in Boitsfort.

Having gained momentum since then, Dendermonde confirmed by hanging on to Boitsfort. The Brussels team nevertheless won with a score of 11-13 and reached the break undefeated.

Behind, Gent takes a small point from Boitsfort in the standings thanks to their improved victory against BBRFC Celtic. The Cats put up an offensive performance, winning 122-0 against a deserving but nevertheless tough team from Brussels.

A week after his defeat in Dendermonde, Kituro reacted perfectly. Trained again by David Volant for several weeks, the Schaerbeekoises achieved a valuable success against Frameries. Leading by one try at the time of the oranges (5-0), they took off in the second (27-0) before the Coumères saved the honor at the end of the game (27-5).

In the ranking, Frameries performed poorly and fell from 4th to 6th place, overtaken by Kituro but also Soignies. The Virtues returned to victory after two setbacks by beating Leuven on their home field, quite clearly (5-47), and thus distanced the Louvanistes a little further in the race for the top 6.

So now it’s time for a well-deserved rest. The resumption is set for Saturday January 25 with the 11th day of the championship on the program.

D1 Ladies – 10th day
Dendermonde 11-13 Boitsfort
Kituro 27-5 Frameries
