The town hall of the town of Île-Saint-Denis loses one of its happiest elements. Friday, December 13, she announced in a press release the death of Abdelkader Dahou, municipal councilor responsible for youth, at the age of 40. Four days earlier, he had been hit by a car shortly after 7 p.m., on the bridge linking his town of Seine-Saint-Denis.
Suffering from brittle bone disease, characterized by excessive bone fragility, he used a wheelchair. Always flanked by a big smile, this football lover and unconditional fan of Olympique de Marseille had become a “emblematic figure” in the small town. “All Îlodionysians have, one day or another, encountered his silhouette, his attentive gaze raised towards you and his magnificent smile which made the small annoyances of the sudden day so futile”wrote the town hall in a final tribute. “Above all, we lose a wonderful being and a friend”she adds.
