A few days before the election of Miss France 2025, our colleagues at Capital have assessed what the winner really earns, including her salary of course, but also her many sides.
In a few days, this Saturday, December 15, 2024 exactly, Eve Gilles will put her crown back on the line and a new Miss France will be elected. There are 30 of them claiming the supreme title. Thirty regional Misses hope to become the beauty ambassador of France for a year, but also hope to hit the jackpot. Because being elected Miss France is not just an honorary title; it also represents a lot of financial benefits. Capital magazine thus evaluated what the winnings of Miss France 2025 will represent in terms of salary, but also gifts.
What salary does a Miss France receive during her reign?
To the question, does Miss France receive a salary during her year of reign, the answer is “yes”. In 2021, the former director of the Miss France company, Sylvie Tellier, revealed that “we earned the salary of a senior executive in the year”, or around 50,000 euros per year. Other sources suggest a salary of at least 3,000 euros per month. Our colleagues from Capital specify that all regional Misses would also receive a salary to prepare for the competition, although relatively symbolic.
A princess apartment
Another (big) advantage when you are elected Miss France: the company apartment. Although she is often on the move, the beauty queen enjoys an apartment just for herself, “the Misses' apartment”, the time of his reign. This is located in one of the most chic (and most expensive) neighborhoods of the capital, in the 17th arrondissement, not far from the Arc de Triomphe. An apartment at “chic, sober and elegant decoration” according to Capital. Although the accommodation must be returned after a year, it allows a significant saving in rent… Especially since this is far from being the only material advantage that Miss France 2025 will benefit from.
A gift list as long as your arm
In the list of gifts which will be given to the heiress of Eve Gilles we find jumbled together: a Toyota Yaris Cross Audace valued at 25,000 euros, a trip offered by Air Caraibes and by the Territorial Collectivity of Guyana, the crown signed Mauboussin entitled “Elegance is called France” as well as a “My queen of love” set in white gold from the same French jeweler, a whole range of dresses offered by Sima Couture, a complete showroom of haute couture creations made available by Une robe un soir, a MacBook Pro type computer and a television, offered by Télé-Loisirs, as well as a makeup table, a year of treatments at Sothys, a year's subscription to Blissim beauty boxes and an Advent calendar, a Ulike pulsed light epilator, eight Prestige Festina watches, as well as the services of a hairdresser Saint-Algue and a bouquet of flowers presented by the French Federation of Artisan Florists.
In the end, Capital estimated the total gifts given to Eve Gilles last year at 57,000 euros. To which would therefore be added the 50,000 euros in annual salaries and the rent savings for one year. Something to see ahead before embarking on a career change!
