Marco Odermatt brilliantly cleared his off-track runs during the first two giants of the season. In Val d’Isère, the Nidwalden, author of the best time during the first round, confirmed on the second route to win ahead of Patrick Feurstein and Stefan Brennsteiner. This is his 4th victory in a row on the face of Bellevarde.
In conditions which deteriorated as the round progressed with more snow, Odermatt was able to do what was necessary to narrowly win – 0″08 – ahead of Feurstein, who was accusing after the first run. .. 2″49 behind the Nidwalden.
The second best Swiss of the day is Luca Aerni. Narrowly qualified for the second round – he took the 30th and final qualifying place for 0″02 – the Valaisan took full advantage of the good conditions to finish just off the podium.
