The 21-year-old man, who sheltered Morgane, the 13-year-old girl who disappeared on November 25 in Côtes-d’Armor, found two weeks later in Manche, was already being prosecuted in a similar case, indicated the Saint-Brieuc prosecutor, Nicolas Heitz, during a press conference, Wednesday December 11.
In police custody since Tuesday, this jewelry store employee, native of Rennes, will probably be presented to a judge on Thursday, and the prosecutor will request his placement in pre-trial detention to avoid any “risk of reiteration”.
Il “had to appear this (Wednesday) morning before the Beauvais criminal court » pour “minor subtraction” on a 14-year-old girl in Oise in April 2024, he added.
“No lesions”, no sexual relations
Both the teenager and the young man denied any sexual relationship. “A skin examination revealed no lesions, as did the gynecological examination. No injury was therefore materialized on her”underlined the prosecutor.
According to the suspect’s statements, reported by the magistrate, Morgane, met three months previously on the social network Snapchat, contacted him on November 24 telling him “suicidal intentions”.
Early the next day, he took the road to Pabu, near Guingamp, in Côtes-d’Armor, to go to an address given by the teenager. She then got into his car and asked him to leave.
The weekend before her disappearance, the young schoolgirl aged 4e had argued with her parents over her use of social media. His father had broken his phone and confiscated his SIM card.
Found thanks to a testimony
It was thanks to the testimony, Monday, of a woman residing in Gironde, that Morgane was found. The suspect actually showed up at her house on the night of December 7 to 8. Presenting himself as a friend of his son, he “seemed to want to leave the young girl and go back alone”explained the prosecutor.
The teenager was discovered the next day, Tuesday morning, in a home for young workers, in Coutances, in Manche, some 200 km from her parents’ home, where her presence seemed to have escaped the staff and residents alike.
The parents of the schoolgirl sent, Wednesday on Facebook, where they had launched several calls for witnesses, a message of thanks to all the people who supported them “in these very difficult times”.
