The defeat at home against Benfica (3-2), on November 27, disrupted the progress of Monaco which, without several key pieces, must now bring back a good result from London, against Arsenal, during the 6th day of the League champions Wednesday (9 p.m.). After a flamboyant start to the competition (10 points in four matches), Monaco squandered its credit in the last ten minutes against the Portuguese and finally lost 3-2.
Balogun absent against his former club
In England, the Principality's players will have to do without several executives. First, two currently fit defenders will be missing from the Rouge et Blanc rearguard. Severely excluded against Benfica, Wilfried Singo will, in fact, serve his match suspension, just like the young international Espoir, Christian Mawissa, who has collected three warnings since the start of the competition.
Hütter will also have to do without his middle boss, Denis Zakaria. Hit in a thigh during the pre-match warm-up on Saturday, the Swiss did not recover and had to withdraw from this trip.
Added to this tile is the absence, due to a muscular injury, of the versatile Krepin Diatta, as well as a form of relapse for the American striker Folarin Balogun. The American international and former Gunner, who became Monegasque in the summer of 2023 for 30 million euros, nevertheless returned to the competition more quickly than expected.
Arsenal are, however, no better off as Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel, Riccardo Calafiori and Ben White are missing while Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber are doubtful.
