Hypersensitivity would affect 30% of the world population according to American psychologist Elaine Aronor 20 million people in France.
Vesselina Malhomme, coach living in Orléans (Loiret), precisely accompanies “zebra” entrepreneurs (hypersensitive and High Intellectual Potential) in their daily lives, with the help of his program and his book “Dare to Zébrer”.
Who is she and what is her background? We explain it to you.
An atypical journey
Born in Moscow in 1976Vesselina Malhomme lives in the North of Russia, on the Finland side. She studied the human sciences (history, literature, languages) for six years with a view to becoming a professor. At the same time, she works as a journalist in a weekly media of Russian current affairs, entitled “Arguments and facts”.
“I was learning Finnish at the same time. I won a competition and I had six months of apprenticeship in Finland at the University of Oulu,” she adds. She then spent the year 1998 in this establishment, a sort of crossing point towards large groups such as Nokia, and meet a Frenchman among other foreigners.
After completing her Bac +6, Vesselina decided to follow him to France, notably to see what the Sorbonne was like. Both of them got married in 2000. She made a master's degree in sociology at Paris 7 as well as a master en Marketing-Communicationin Paris 2 and completed his studies in 2002.
I then worked in marketing at Danone. It was my first real job after studying. I followed what presented itself, I didn't necessarily know what I wanted to do later
She became pregnant with her first child in 2004 and stayed with Danone until 2005. The following year, the couple decided to leave Paris and Vesselina's husband found himself transferred to Orléans. At that time, the latter launched her “Good plans from mom” store.
Located on Rue du Cheval Rouge, it marketed, from 2006 to 2015, second-hand clothing and products from major brands but also new accessories – still innovative at the time – such as washable diapers, sharing slings, balance bikes and even wooden toys.
Vesselina is then manager at Ikea Orléans from 2016 to 2019 before becoming manager of a Breal store for a year.
A ready-made path
I have always accompanied humans. Whether during my studies but also as a journalist, because we are there to understand the journeys and the ins and outs. When you're a retailer, it's exactly the same thing: you support people and meet their needs. So in fact I have always accompanied people. I like people, I like to understand them
In 2019, she unfortunately experienced a major relationship crisis. At this moment, she begins to read, to follow different training courses in psychology and hypnotherapy to understand what is happening.
-“I didn't understand what was happening to us, I started to study and that's when I discovered that I was hypersensitive and high potential,” adds Vesselina, who also stopped paid work just after the first confinement linked to the pandemic.
Following training to become a coach, she launched her current activity and business “Me, and happy”. At the beginning, she only supported women in life transition but turns very quickly towards HPI and hypersensitive entrepreneurswhom she sees during individual or group meetings.
Since the creation of his company, she would have accompanied more than 2000 people.
A book that made sense
“My goal was, through this book, to help relieve the guilt of these people who often feel like they are worthless. It is a paradox of hypersensitive and high potential people but most of the time they find themselves useless because of family, school or professional difficulties, etc. On the contrary, they have enormous potential. However, if this potential is not brought into the world, it remains in a box,” declares the founder of “Me, and happy”.
In her book “Dare to Zébrer”, she therefore takes up beliefs and feelings which she deciphers before suggest several ways to transform them to see what we can do with them.
For now, Vesselina has printed First 200 copies and plans to make more.
And now ?
Although several projects await Vesselina, two of them stand out from the rest.
“I am currently developing the idea of transformational games based on my program and my book Dare to Zébrer. It's an idea that comes from Russia and it allows zebra entrepreneurs (high potential and hypersensitive) to succeed in becoming aware of what they are and learning to show it in a way that people understand what they are. they propose and naturally come to them,” he explains to us.
In short, it is an online or board game allowing you to make the mind work by circumventing it through play. Vesselina would also have the idea of produce a book on “taking action” and publish it in a publishing house.
Until then, you can follow her on her eponymous channel where she interviews people with High Potential and hypersensitive people.
Hypersensitivity
Hypersensitivity is characterized in particular by increased sensory sensitivity. As Vesselina says, “we capture a lot of details thanks to our senses (touch, smells, sight, sounds, etc.)”. Highly sensitive people are also instinctive. “As we pick up a lot of signals, it’s as if we had antennas, we have the ability to predict what’s happening”
Hypersensitivity is also characterized by hyper-empathy, the fact of being able to capture the emotions of others regardless of the distance, as well as a strong reactivity to both positive and negative emotions. “Hypersensitive people are also very prone to cogitations and mental load. We can also talk about this ability to communicate emotions by using the right words.” Of course, hypersensitivity depends on each person's personality, beliefs and living environment.
