Death of Liam Payne: hotel manager and receptionist charged

After the police investigation, justice took over in the case of the death of Liam Payne, which occurred following a fall from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires.

New documents obtained by “Page Six” reveal that the receptionist at the CasaSur Palermo hotel, Esteban Reynaldo Grassi, who alerted emergency services shortly before the ex-One Direction member’s fatal fall, is now charged. Gilda Agustina Martín, hotel manager, is also under indictment.

The specific charges against them have not yet been disclosed, but a judge requested that both parties be notified of the charges against them. “Given that there is sufficient evidence to suspect their involvement in the act in question, we request the following individuals to come forward for a statement,” the documents state. Esteban Grassi and Gilda Martín are summoned to court on December 19.

In addition, three other individuals have already been arrested and indicted. On December 17, Braian Nahuel Paiz, waiter, and Uriel Alejandro Astengo must also appear. They are accused of supplying illicit substances to Liam Payne. The singer’s close friend, Rogelio “Roge” Nores, will be tried for “abandonment of a person resulting in death”. After these hearings, a judge will decide whether to prosecute the suspects, exonerate them or dismiss the case due to lack of sufficient evidence.

Liam Payne died on October 16, after falling from the third floor balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The former One Direction singer was 31 years old.
