While, a few weeks earlier, this Brazilian septuagenarian had won nearly 32,000 euros in the lottery, he suddenly died at his dentist's office. The events took place on December 4 in Brazil.
After playing the lottery, a 73-year-old Brazilian cattle breeder won nearly 32,000 euros on November 9 in São Paulo (Brazil). His initial investment did not exceed one euro. On November 11, the septuagenarian pocketed his incredible winnings. But he did not have the opportunity to benefit from his fortune, as reported by the media G1.
He died of a heart attack
Antonio Lopes, father of four children, had nevertheless pocketed one of the ten largest winnings in the history of Brazil, our colleagues point out. He therefore decided to use part of this sum to regain healthy teeth and scheduled the operation for December 4. But as fate would have it, he died that day, on the operating table at the dental clinic.
The Brazilian reportedly died of a heart attack. Edison Pick, the head of the civil police, told the G1 media that information was being collected from the clinic in order to understand the cause of this patient's death. “If it is a sudden illness, the clinic has nothing to do with it. We now have to wait for the autopsy and the report to clarify what really happened,” he said. The clinic assured that it remained at the disposal of the authorities, with the aim of shedding light on this death.
