Former Bagnes president Eloi Rossier wins his case in the case of the dismissal of whistleblower Gabriel Luisier. In a judgment of November 26, 2024, the Federal Court (TF) considers that neither the dismissal letter nor the cover letter for said dismissal constituted intellectual forgery. According to the TF, Eloi Rossier could not be condemned by the previous authorities for forgery in the titles. The Federal Court refers the file to the cantonal body which will have to take into account the considerations of the Mon Repos judges. Acquittal is looming for Eloi Rossier in this affair.
Brief reminder of the facts: the former president of Bagnes and the municipal secretary were accused of having falsified the date appearing on a dismissal letter and providing in a separate letter a reason for this dismissal which did not correspond to the truth. The complainant, Gabriel Luisier, believed that the date on the document was deliberately post-dated to give weight to the restructuring theory while his dismissal was, according to him, linked to the Verbier illegal construction affair, where he played the role of whistleblower. When contacted, the lawyers of the former president and municipal secretary said they were obviously satisfied with this ruling.
This is a diametrically opposed story from Gabriel Luisier. Gabriel Luiser, nicknamed the Bear of Bagnes, still combative despite this legal setback.
