Robert Smith details the content of The Cure’s next two albums.

Two more albums. This is what The Cure should soon reveal, according to the statements of the leader of the British group, Robert Smith. In an interview with Absolute Radio, the singer made it clear that “another album, which is otherwise pretty good, is ready to come out.” Robert Smith speaks of it as a sort of “complement” to Songs of a Lost Worldunveiled last November 1st.

In this case, it will be an album which explores certain subjects already covered on the last disc, to date, by The Cure, but which will also allow itself to go further.

Robert Smith also talks about the release of a third album. This one will stand out from the other two, because it will mainly consist of studio sessions recorded late at night, according to Robert Smith. “It’s really very, very different,” adds the leader of The Cure, who also specifies that he hasn’t finished writing the lyrics, “ [mon] mind was focused on the concerts.”

And speaking of stage, note that The Cure unveils this Friday, December 13, Songs of a Live World: Troxy London MMXXIV. A live album therefore, captured during the group’s first concert to defend this new record on November 1st at the Troxy, in London. This album will currently only be available in digital, CD and double CD format. You will have to wait until February 23 before you can get it on vinyl and double-vinyl.
