Wednesday November 27, around 9:30 p.m., an incident occurred at the restaurant Le Caveau 30, in Cannescaused several victims among around fifteen Italian delegates who came to dine there. A 35-year-old woman and two men aged 30 and 56 were seriously burneds and all three evacuated to the Toulon hospital center. The woman by helicopter, the two men by road.
While two others, two men aged 54 and 56, more slightly injured, were evacuated by firefighters to Cannes hospital.
Two lightly injured people returned home
More than ten days after this tragedy, although the two lightly injured were able to return home to Italy, another is currently undergoing numerous reconstruction operations while two are still placed in an artificial coma.

Complaints were filed against the restaurant owner. The prefecture closed the restaurant for six months, just a few days after the accident. Because the unfolding of the drama was able to be reconstructed by the lawyer, thanks to the fifteen people present around the table, direct witnesses, but also two customers of the restaurant located right next to Caveau 30.
“He threw the flaming bottle”
“On the table, there were about five heating lamps, table lights. A waiter saw that two of these lamps were going out. So he came with a liquid that seemed to be ethanol. He poured some on a completely extinguished lamp, but the second one was not completely extinguished. By pouring the liquid on the flame, it became enormous and it caused a flashback in the bottle, which also caught fire. He then threw the bottle at five people, three of whom were transformed into living torches.
