The match of the 12th day of La Liga between Valencia and Real Madrid, initially scheduled for November 2 and postponed due to the devastating floods which hit the south-east of Spain, will be played on January 3, 2025, announced Tuesday the Spanish Football Federation.
Initially rescheduled for January 2, the meeting was postponed by 24 hours at the request of the Association of Spanish Footballers (AFE), citing incompatibility with the winter break period, which prohibits any competition between December 23 and January 2. included.

The AFE proposed rescheduling the match for January 3 at Mestalla, a date “accepted by both clubs”, in order to respect the legislation in force and the commitments of the parties concerned.
This meeting was postponed after the torrential rains which hit the Valencia region, causing 222 deaths and material damage amounting to several million euros.
