low price for this controller, and yet the technical sheet is nice

There are builders who know how to speak to the hearts of gamers, and 8BitDo is definitely one of them. With its new Ultimate 2C, the brand proves once again that it has mastered the art of creating cool controllers at an affordable price.

8BitDo has built a solid reputation by offering products that strike a chord with nostalgic fans while integrating the latest technological innovations. Their new creation, the Ultimate 2C Bluetooth, is no exception to this rule.

Very broad compatibility

Already, the Ultimate 2C shines with its versatility. Equipped with both Bluetooth and a USB-C port, it fits virtually all platforms: Android, iOS, iPadOS, Windows, macOS, Nintendo Switch and PC.

The great novelty of this controller lies in its joysticks equipped with Hall effect sensors. But what exactly is it? These sensors use magnetic fields to detect movement, unlike traditional mechanical potentiometers.

The advantage is twofold: not only do they offer increased precision, capable of detecting the most subtle movements, but they are also much more durable. No more joystick “drift” which usually appears after intensive use.

There are also additional buttons placed unconventionally near the triggers and on the top of the controller. These additional keys can be reprogrammed according to your needs.

The integration of a gyroscope completes this already impressive technical sheet, notably allowing perfect compatibility with the Nintendo Switch. The vibration function is also included, as is a turbo button for fans of retro games.

The announced autonomy of 15 hours should satisfy most players, even if we would have liked to see a longer duration, some competitors now offer more than 30 hours of use.

The announced price of around 30 euros places this controller in a very competitive category, especially given the on-board technologies.
