Since the beginning of December, California has been engulfed in flames. More than 9,000 hectares of vegetation have already burned.
The fire that has ravaged southern California since Monday, December 9 is progressing and destroying everything in its path. Its name, “Franklin”, already covers nearly 3,000 hectares. In Los Angeles and its upscale suburb, Malibu, 20,000 people were evacuated. “There was fire everywhere” confided a passerby“it was like in a movie”admits another.
Several dozen students found themselves trapped in a university library. “We could see the flames going up the hill and five minutes later he was heading towards us”explains a student. To fight the flames, nearly 1,500 firefighters and a fleet of water bomber planes are active on the ground. This year, the fire season is very active in the state of California.
