Since her marriage to Prince Carl Philip, Sofia almost exclusively wears her wedding tiara on special occasions. This tiara is a gift from her in-laws. It was created from a necklace belonging to Queen Silvia. Initially, the bow of the tiara was slightly narrower and the jewelry was worn almost like a crown on the top of the head. In recent years, the bow has been widened and the tiara is worn more like a headband. Over the years, Princess Sofia has figured out how to slightly modify her tiara to match her outfits. Princess Sofia changes the precious stones that top the tiara. She now has diamonds, pearls, emeralds and topaz as at this gala.
