It was announced without warning and immediately put online, a huge update of Cyberpunk 2077 is live on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. The game is celebrating its 4th anniversary and CD Projekt has decided to do things right. If the studio is working hard on the sequel for its franchise, but also for The Witcher, it has not held back in offering a ton of new features, and there is really a very big package.
A colossal anniversary patch for Cyberpunk 2077
Like update 2.1 at the time, 2.2 adds an astronomical amount of new features. Presented during a stream, this big update brings customization, new features, balancing and of course bug fixes here and there. CD Projekt goes all out, but also adds a lot of things requested by the community, like the photo mode for example. Updates of this size are rare, we look at them.
New things to show off on the streets of Night City
It starts from the personalization of our avatar with adding a hundred cosmetic options. In fact, it completely doubles the number of possibilities that we had until now. A new option will also allow you to precisely adjust the random face generator in order to find the V that best matches the idea you have of your character.
Added character customization options:
- 32 eye colors
- 18 types of lip makeup
- 17 nail colors
- 10 types of cheek makeup
- 16 types of eye makeup
- 4 facial scars
- 5 eyebrow shapes
- 4 facial tattoos
- 2 body tattoos
- 8 new cybernetic optimizations for the face
- Updated the random character generator to include a new “Plain-to-Punk” slider that makes it easier to find a face we like.
Moreover, it is not only V that will be entitled to new customization possibilities since more vehicles can also be modified. Twintone and CrystalCoat technology, while only available on a specific selection of vehicles, extends to more than ten new cars. You will then not only be able to drive them, but also personalize them with new paints and even hack the visuals of cars you see in town.
Additionally, ten new cars are now available to purchase directly from the Autofixer. Some are exclusive to the Phantom Liberty DLC.
- Mizutani Shion MZ1
- Mizutani Shion Targa MZT
- Galena GA32t from Thorton
- Colby CST40 de Thornton
- Archer Quartz EC-L r275
- Quadra Type-66 640 TS
- Quadra Type-66 680 TS
- Mahir Supron FS3-T
- Villefort Deleon V410-S Coupé (Phantom Liberty only)
- Mizutani Hozuki MH2 (Phantom Liberty uniquement)
Lots of new features for photo mode
Huge demand from the community, Cyberpunk 2077’s photo mode has been greatly improved also with a plethora of new options. We will now be able to direct the lens more freely, adjust the lighting further, or even display NPCs in the scene, even if they are not there, by choosing from a vast list of suitors to whom you can also ask to strike a pose. And when your shots are at their best, you can now display them in your stash. We can’t make a scrapbook yet though, but we’re already pretty good.
- The camera is now free instead of being orbital and centered around V.
- Camera range increased.
- Added a Collision option – determines whether the camera respects object collisions in the game.
- Ability to lock the camera – locks the camera to prevent bad movement and going out of frame.
- Added Precise Camera option – slows down the camera for easier and precise aiming.
- New image formats (PC only. Custom resolution screenshots are not available on consoles. Console systems can only export images in standard 16:9 aspect ratio.)
- A new Characters tab to display up to 3 NPCs in your photos, to choose from a list of more than 20 characters. You can adjust their expression, pose and position.
- A new Lighting tab to create and adjust light sources.
- Fixed ghosting issue with depth of field.
- Added intensity slider for effects.
- With Kiroshi’s SmartFrames you can display your photos in-game by interacting with the frames in V’s apartments.
