The fire started from the garage of a housing on avenue des Pyrénées. Tuesday December 10, 2024, 23 firefighters were mobilized to stop a house fire in the small town of Puydaniel, located a few kilometers from Auterive.

“Upon their arrival, the emergency services were confronted with a garage fire located on the ground floor of a one-story residential house, in a row. The rapid and massive action of the firefighters made it possible toavoid imminent spread to adjoining dwellings», Specifies the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Haute-Garonne.

A large device deployed on site

As soon as the alert was given, shortly before 3 p.m., significant resources were deployed on site to try to contain the disaster. From the fire and rescue centers ofAuterive, Cintegabelle, Lézat-sur-Lèze , Toulouse Carsaladeor even Worryfirefighters actively fought against the flames for a good part of the afternoon. They were still on site in the evening, even though the fire was under control.

During this operation, they notably used three water lances. One of them was even activated from an aerial ladder. “No casualties have been reported”informs the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service.
