Who will succeed the “Wars of Lucas”, Franceinfo Prize 2024? Eleven comics are competing for this new edition.

Since 1994, Info has awarded the News and Reportage Comics Prize each year. After “Les Guerres de Lucas” by Laurent Hopman and Renaud Roche published by Deman in 2024, to whom will the jury of nine radio journalists, chaired by Philippe Marty, secretary general of franceinfo, award the franceinfo Prize for News and reporting comics 2025?
The eleven titles in competition:

  • 1972, by Marie Bardiaux-Vaïente and Carole Maurel (Glénat)
  • Battlefields, by Inès Léraud and Pierre Van Hove (Delcourt/La Revue Dessinée)
  • The Escamotor, by Sébastien Goethals and Philippe Collin (Futuropolis)
  • Ginseng Roots by Craig Thompson (Casterman)
  • The Man Who Has Seen Too Much, by Ali Arkady, Simon Rochepeau, Isaac Wens (Futuropolis)
  • We will live, by Joann Sfar (Les Arènes)
  • Roots, by Lou Lubie (Delcourt)
  • The emoji revolution, by David Groison and Paul Rey (Bayard Graphic)
  • Blowing on the Fire, by Joe Sacco (Futuropolis)
  • Wagner, by Thierry Chavant, Mathieu Olivier, Benjamin Roger (Les Arènes)

On Sundays January 5 and 12, 2025 at 8:50 a.m., 11:50 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. in “Book Experts” and on franceinfo.fr, Jean-Christophe Ogier will review all the titles in competition. The 2025 News and Reportage Comics Prize will be announced in mid-January on franceinfo and franceinfo.fr
