A fire broke out at 11:52 p.m. this Monday, December 9, 2024, Place de la République, in the heart of the town of Bain-de-Bretagne (Ille-et-Vilaine). No casualties were reported, but fifteen people had to be evacuated from neighboring homes. This building served in particular as premises for the merchants’ association.

A fire hit Bain-de-Bretagne in the heart, this Monday, December 9, 2024. Firefighters were alerted to a fire in a municipal building at 11:52 p.m., rue Joseph Bertrand, on Place de la République. A stone’s throw from Christmas lights.
The flames ravaged this one-story building, which houses the merchants’ association and the festivals committee. Fortunately, no one was there and no casualties were reported. The flames pierced the roof.
The origin of the fire is not known…
