Claude François’ former apartment located on Boulevard Exelmans in the 16th arrondissement of Paris is for sale.
This is the singer’s last residence, where he lived at the time of his death in 1978.
It is an emblematic place. Claude François’ former apartment is for sale. This 72 m² penthouse located on the 8th floor of a 1961 building, boulevard Exelmans in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, is on sale at the price of 950,000 euros. “The site was made emblematic thanks to the celebrity of its former owner; the penthouse is in fact the last residence of Claude François, international icon of French song and pioneer of pop culture in France”explains the Architecture de collection agency.
Benefiting from an exceptional view of Paris, the place has been modified since the singer’s disappearance in 1978, who died of accidental electrocution. The agency specifies that the kitchen and bathroom were moved. Work is to be expected, warn the sellers.
This apartment is a place full of emotion for all fans. A commemorative plaque was also installed on the facade of the building and a Place Claude-François was inaugurated a few meters from the building in 1999.
Will this property quickly find a buyer or will it know the fate of the Savannah, the 1100 m² house where Johnny Hallyday and his family lived in Marnes-la-Coquette? Listed for sale for 26 million euros in 2018, the residence, whose price “fell” to 10.5 million euros, has still not been sold…
