Porter Airlines is launching two new non-stop routes between Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) and Florida this week. This is the first time the carrier has operated U.S. flights from the Nova Scotia capital.

The thrice-weekly service to Tampa International Airport (TPA) begins today, December 5, while daily service to Orlando International Airport (MCO) begins tomorrow, December 6. The carrier will offer more flights to Florida from Halifax than any airline during the winter season.

Both routes will be flown by the Embraer E195-E2, which Porter brought to Halifax for the first time in 2023. The 132-seat aircraft is configured 2 by 2, meaning there are no central seats for no passengers.

Passengers who fly with Porter enjoy an authentic and unrivaled welcome in the skies of North America for economy class travelers. On board, everyone can enjoy free premium snacks, free beer and wine served in real glasses, and enjoy fast and free Wi-Fi.

PorterReserve fares offer an all-inclusive, value-for-money experience, with fresh, healthy meals, premium cocktails, a dedicated airport check-in counter, flexible ticketing, priority boarding and extra legroom.
