Clear domination of Thomas Tumler, four qualified Frenchmen: the summary of the first round

Favrot on time
Thibaut Favrot left like a plane. Three tenths ahead after 19 seconds of racing with a thunderous top and then, less gas. The Alsatian is in the pack, with the 12th time. He is seven tenths off the podium. A more complicated round for Alexis Pinturault. His intensity was several notches below that of Saturday, in super-G, and it showed on the clock. Almost three seconds behind and he had to wait a long time to secure his 29th place and his qualification.
Léo Anguenot is also placed with the 16th time of the round. Good attitudes for Cluse. Cyprien Sarrazin fought hard and got one of the best times on the lower part. Haut-Alpin is 20th at the end of the first round. Diego Orecchioni, Victor Muffat-Jeandet and Mathieu Faivre do not qualify.
