The French pétanque team has achieved a flawless performance so far. At home in Dijon, the Tricolores reached the semi-finals of the world championships, in triplets. They face one of the favorites this Sunday morning: Madagascar. In the other semi-final, Italy will face Tunisia at 2 p.m.
With eight successes in as many games since the start of the competition on Thursday, the Blues of Jean Feltain (pointer), Philippe Suchaud (midfielder) and Dylan Rocher (shooter) – while Henri Lacroix is on the bench – have largely dominated Cambodia in the quarter-finals (13-0), Saturday.

Three “fannies” out of eight hits
Since the start of the event, the French have been impressive. They dismissed the United States (13-1) in the 1st round, then Germany (13-8) in the 2nd round, Spain (13-8) in the 3rd round, Monaco (13-0) in the 4th, Tunisia (13-0) in the 5th, Burkina Faso (13-1), Mali in the round of 16 (13-0) before defeating Cambodia (13-0).
On to the semi-final against Madagascar this Sunday, December 8 before aiming for a 27th title of world champion in the discipline later in the day.
