The Buisson de la Grolle sports complex in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre welcomed 211 participants this Saturday for the Nordique de l'Erdre. At the end of 11,850 km, Alan Dos Santos, 3e of the last French championships and winner last year in this race, won with 1'30” ahead of Nicolas Gilles, second. The Vannes resident Ollivier Guillemin completes the podium for the men.
“It was quite greasy, slippery but it’s quite rolling so it’s quite good”
The course was quite physical, describes the winner. It was quite greasy, slippery but it's quite rolling so it's pretty good. He has a lot of raises, I like that. I'm coming back, it's been a long time since I last raced so I'm quite satisfied. I didn't expect to win it but rather to be on another podium place so I'm happy. I had good feelings.
He is ahead of his mother, Angélique Doms, who left five minutes earlier and first among the women (1h21'16''). The course was better than last year because it was less muddy even though there was mud and wind, analyzed the 14e of the race, French M1 champion. For the first time, I was almost caught at the finish line by the first man. That means I'm in good shape.
Mother and son had already qualified for the French championships which will take place next March.
