This acquisition is part of the guidelines of high state authorities, aimed at establishing a national fleet dedicated to fighting forest fires. The objective is to strengthen national preparedness to face the challenges of seasonal fires, a recurring scourge that threatens the country's natural resources.
The press release also underlines that twelve additional aircraft of this same model will be mobilized by the Tassili company for the campaign to fight forest fires in 2024. “This initiative demonstrates Sonatrach's commitment to protecting natural resources and supporting sustainable development efforts,” concludes the text.
