The Ontarians finished sixth out of six after their rhythm dance, during which Poirier fell after hitting the band of his foot.

The duo began the competition third in the Grand Prix rankings, notably winning the Skate Canada International for a fifth time in addition to finishing second at the Finlandia Trophy.

Quebecers Marjorie Lajoie and Zachary Lagha are the highest ranked Canadian pair after taking fourth place, with 77.73 points.
