Friday, December 6, at 150 rue de Marissel, a fire broke out in the library of the house of Francis, a resident of the neighborhood. The causes are not known.
At the end of the morning, this Friday, December 6, a fire declared in the neighborhood Marissel in Beauvais. More precisely, at 150 rue de Marisselin Francis' home.
The latter, a 71-year-old retiree, heard “a big boom” shortly after returning home. He initially thought it was a short circuit until he saw smoke in his library and rushed to turn off the gas. “I just had time to get out of the house”he told us with his face covered in soot.
Francis, who bought his grandfather's house 7 years ago, was taken care of by the firefighters. Although he was not injured, he was still slightly poisoned by the fumes. Around twenty firefighters and a group leader were mobilized. The causes of the fire are currently unknown. This fire also posed a difficulty for the firefighters since Francis' house is adjoining other homes, both on the rue de Marissel and avenue Corot side, which made the intervention “more complex”.
On site, the national police ensured traffic which was not cut off on Avenue Corot.
