An accident involving several vehicles occurred this morning in Messancy (Belgium), blocking the N81. According to Belgian media, the driver of a fire truck involved in the accident was going with his guide to take his practical driving test.
An accident involving three vehicles occurred this Thursday morning, around 7:10 a.m., on the N81 in Messancy, reports L'Avenir.
Since then, traffic has been severely disrupted. The South-Luxembourg police zone closed the axis from the Cora roundabout, towards France, and set up a diversion through the center of Messancy. It is advisable to favor small roads and avoid the RN81.
“It is not yet known whether this accident caused any casualties.” specifies the Future.
-According to TVLux, “The driver of the car is seriously injured, but her life is not in danger“.
The media returns to the circumstances: “the fire vehicle was not in intervention, but the driver was going with his guide to pass his practical driving license.” “He lost control of his vehicle, went over the central berm and hit the car which was coming the wrong way.“, explains Stéphane Thiry, the commander of the Luxembourg emergency zone quoted by TVLux. “At this stage, there is no link to be made between the fact that the driver was going to get his license and the accident. The road was very slippery and in poor condition.“
