In the last SKA match, Ivan Demidov did not play.

Roman Rotenberg decided not to use it, actually.

The CH prospect and SKA were back in action today, and Demidov started the game on his team’s third line:

But ultimately, Demidov’s match is not too complicated to summarize.

He spent a little less than four minutes on the ice in the first period (3:54) and in the second, he made three appearances for a playing time of 2:50.

I didn’t talk about the third… Because the Canadian’s hope was never able to touch the ice.

He ended the game with a superb (or not) playing time of 6:44 and a shot on goal.

All of his presences can be found in these two videos, which were published by the Habs Nation account on Twitter:

We know that since the start of the season, Roman Rotenberg has been inconsistent in his decisions with Demidov.

But now, for a month or almost, it has been obvious. Demidov hardly plays anymore:

-
  • 9:59 of game time on November 13
  • 9:44 of game time on November 15
  • 9:54 of game time on November 18
  • 6:46 of playing time on November 21
  • 8:24 of game time on November 28
  • 0:00 game time on November 30
  • 6:44 of playing time today

So that’s seven consecutive games where the CH prospect warms up the bench more than anything else.

He only collected one small point during this sequence… But should we really blame him?

After all, it’s hard to perform and stay confident when your own coach doesn’t make you perform. And what’s sad is that it’s becoming frequent… Even if Demidov has proven since the start of the season that he can help the club offensively.

Let us note in closing that his club lost (4-2) today against Dinamo Minsk.

Note also that after 32 games, Demidov has a total of 20 points, including six goals.

In burst

– Yep.

– A good choice.

– It’s time to take out the hats!

– Oh, wow.
