Interviewed by the magazine Paris Matchthe now 41-year-old actress recounted behind the scenes the meeting between Johnny Hallyday and Nathalie Baye, for the purposes of a sketch, in the 1980s. She also spoke of her birth in 83 and the breakup of her parents, separated by two universes and two very different styles. Despite everything, the Taulier and the Caesarized actress remained close, until the singer’s last breath…
“Johnny was very happy that Nathalie was my mother because she is a very stable person. He trusted her. And I think he still loved her… Even apart, they remained very close. Until the end of his life, when he was really not well, he would call her. Because she was telling him the truth, even if he didn’t want to hear it. He was surrounded by people who only went his way. Sometimes he needed his eyes opened.”we read in the magazine.
Nathalie Baye was thus present at the funeral of Johnny Hallyday, at the Madeleine church in Paris, accomplice with Laura of course but also showing herself to be very close to another woman in the rocker’s life: Sylvie Vartan.
