On social networks, the Sainte- animal park, located at Rhodes (), announced Porky's deathan American porcupine aged 17. He was the oldest male of his species in a European wildlife park.

“On Monday November 11, we took the difficult decision to euthanize Porky. […] His health had unfortunately deteriorated. By respect for his well-beingwe chose to offer him a peaceful end of life,” explains the animal park.

“Porky will remain in our hearts”

Born in Italy In 2007, Porky lived at the Sainte-Croix animal park with Sofie, a female porcupine. Despite health problemshe was able to enjoy his years in “optimal conditions” thanks to the caretakers and veterinarians.

The animal park greets an animal at “gentle and cooperative character” with a “incredible personality”: “Porky will remain in our hearts. »
