Max Homa leads by one stroke after the first round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge. Max Homa returns to South Africa to defend the title he memorably won on his tournament debut last November. Max Homa started the week with three consecutive birdies. Homa subsequently made three more birdies to move to the top of the leaderboard, before having a difficult period on the last nine holes with two bogeys. The 34-year-old is one step ahead of Ockie Strydom (Afs).
Ugo Coussaud and Romain Langasque returned cards of 70, they are in the top 10 this evening, four shots behind Max Homa. Julien Guerrier is in 12th place (-1). Frédéric Lacroix is in par, a difficult day for David Ravetto in +5.
