The municipalities which promote the landscape development of the department are expected on Thursday, December 12 at the Exhibition Center, as part of the Salon des Maires, for the traditional presentation of the departmental Landscape Development Trophies.

The Côte-d'Or Departmental Council and Côte-d'Or Attractiveness are working for a model that allows for a balance of territories, advocating for a quality, sustainable environment, where authenticity and good living take precedence. They are working to make the Côte-d'Or an attractive, modern territory that adapts to the major challenges of tomorrow. The landscape enhancement and the “Villes et Villages Fleuris” label are strong markers of this.
Handing out departmental trophies for landscape enhancement and highlighting towns and villages labeled “Flowering Towns and Villages” means supporting municipalities that are committed to the landscape enhancement of their public spaces. Beyond preserving the environment, this action has repercussions on the living environment of residents and also aims to attract new arrivals.
Côte-d'Or Attractiveness supports around forty municipalities each year to help them enter the “Villes et Villages Fleuris” label or in their progress within the label.

This year, 6 municipalities received a first flower or an additional flower. Like last year, there was 100% success:
– Chaux, Epoisses and Gemeaux get their first flower
– Alise-Sainte-Reine and Genlis obtain their 2nd flower
– Is-sur-Tille can now display 3 flowers

Furthermore, Agey, Châteauneuf, Châtillon-sur-Seine, Chenôve, Darcey, Darois, Eguilly, Lacanche, Marcellois, Mirebeau-sur-Bèze, Missery, Montagny-les-, Nolay, Saint-Apollinaire, Soirans, Talant and Vignoles have seen their label renewed for 3 years.

As a reminder
The Côte-d'Or is labeled “Flower Department” by the National Council of Towns and Villages in Flowers (CNVVF). A national award awarded to the 15 departments which are particularly invested in improving the living environment and sustainably promoting territories through plants.
