Taking command Monday December 2, 2024, aboard the PHM, Ensign Jacoubet. Rear-Admiral Guillaume Arnoux, Alfan's organic deputy in , had Lieutenant Commander Octave Le Pivert recognized as commander.

Born in in December 1989, entered the Naval Academy in 2010, in 2013 he carried out the Jeanne-d'Arc mission on the PHA Tonnerre. Specialized in SIC (Information and Communication System), he was appointed second in command of Arago in 2014, carrying out sovereignty and fight against illegal fishing missions in Polynesia.

Appointed head of the SIC service on the frigate La Fayette in 2016, he carried out numerous deployments in the Eastern Mediterranean, Operation Chammal and in the Indian Ocean, Central Mediterranean and the Black Sea.

Appointed commander of the Lynx training ship in 2018, he then took courses at Escan before joining the frigate Forbin where he was head of the SIC service. He carried out several operations there, including Clemenceau and Polaris.

On the Fremm Bretagne, deputy operations commander, he participated in anti-submarine warfare in the Atlantic and Norwegian Sea.
