One year after the launch, in Venice, of the first edition of the AIVP Antoine Rufenacht Prize, and 1 and a half months after the hearing of the 6 finalist candidates, Geraldine Knatz, co-president of the Prize alongside Carola Hein, shared the conclusions of the Grand Jury, on the occasion of the official Award Ceremony which took place in Lisbon on November 27.
The Development Company for the Reconversion of the port area of Tangier city (SAPT SA) was awarded for the Tangier port reconversion project, thus becoming the 1is winner of the AIVP Antoine Rufenacht Prize. “This project stands out for its innovative nature and its scale of intervention. It contributes to the sustainable transformation of the city of Tangier into a dynamic tourist destination while preserving its heritage, port identity and making the port and the city a unique and coherent whole.”
Geraldine Knatz also announced that the Grand Jury had also wished to award a Special Mention to the Javel Bas port redevelopment project presented by HAROPA PORTemphasizing that this project harmoniously combines concrete production activities, storage and handling of goods, with a public promenade along the Seine, thus contributing to a mix of uses and stronger city-port integration.
