Charlotte (Koh-Lanta) explains why she wanted Thibault to win at all costs

After weeks of adventure in the Philippines, the name of the big winner of the 2024 edition of Koh Lanta is now known. It was Thibault who was crowned the big winner during the final on Tuesday, December 3. But just before counting, the three finalists stayed on the poles for more than two hours in the middle of the water. Ilyesse was the first to fall after 2 hours 20. Thibault was the second to fall, and it was therefore Charlotte who won the final event after 2 hours 30. The latter then chose Thibault to go before the final jury.

Charlotte (Koh-Lanta) resented Ilyesse

Asked by Tele-Leisure just after the final, Charlotte explained why her choice was towards Thibault. “At the time I make the decision, we are 41 days away from the adventure. We are hungry, we are fed up, we want to leave. And it's true that my thoughts that day were perhaps not – not be as elaborate as the one I could have had today”she first explained before adding: “But actually, in my head, I was already a little too angry with Ilyesse after orientation. I had really met another Ilyesse and it hurt me because I loved my whole adventure with him. And to end like that, I thought it sucked.”

Charlotte (Koh-Lanta) wanted Thibault to win

By choosing Thibault, Charlotte knew that she had little chance of winning the check for 100,000 euros. I knew very well that by taking Thibault, I was dead. I knew that when I said the word 'Thibault' to Denis, I put an end to the 100,000 euros. Et I wanted Thibault to winshe admitted before praising the merits of her comrade: “He had guidance, he nourished us. He remained a righteous person. He is a remarkable father. So, perhaps there is this thing about me that touched me about him. Because he talked about his daughters all the time, I always said to myself: 'But how much I wish I had a father like that to live with'.”
