The Club Omnisports de Meknes (CODM) announced this Wednesday, December 4, via its social networks, the appointment of Abdellatif Jrindou as the team’s new coach until the end of the season, succeeding Abdelhay Ben Soltane , dismissed from his position.
According to sources close to the matter, the management of the club in the Ismaili capital is committed to keeping Jrindou at the head of CODM during the 2024-25 season, with the objective of maintaining Botola Pro Inwi in the first division.
The former Raja de Casablanca defender managed several Moroccan teams during his career, starting as assistant coach of JS Massira in 2012, before taking charge of the Moroccan U17 selection in 2014. He then joined the MAS in 2021, and was at the head of the Maghreb of Tetouan twice, in 2022 and 2024.
Unstable since the start of the season, with a record of 14 points, result of 3 victories, 5 draws and 4 defeats, the CODM remains on a disappointing series and ranks in 13th position in the Moroccan championship.
-As a reminder, the 57-year-old Tunisian technician was appointed last July to replace Abdelaziz Dnibi, with whom the CODM had managed to access D1.
