On August 18, sad news was announced to Alain Delon’s fans. The actor, who left his mark on an entire generation, died at the age of 88 in his house in Douchy. He left behind Anthony, Alain-Fabien and Anouchka Delon, three inconsolable children. This Sunday, December 1, the eldest of the siblings was the guest on the show Le Figaro at night on Figaro TV. The opportunity for him to make some confidences, particularly about the disappearance of his father.
“I think we will find our loved ones again,” did he start. In complete transparency, Anthony Delon says he is convinced that he will find his father, but also other people, once this life is over.
Anthony Delon opted for transparency about his thoughts.
“I think we’ll join them. I think there will be a purification,” he continued. The actor’s eldest shares his feelings and beliefs, subsequently assuring: “I think we are here… I believe in reincarnation” before specifying: “I think that in every life we have things to accomplish and I think that this accomplishment must be done towards the light, towards the good”.
To achieve this, Anthony Delon ensures that it is important to
“find the essence within us and elevate ourselves spiritually. I think we have several lifetimes to do it!” .
Anthony Delon: beliefs that help him in his daily life
Anthony Delon raised the subject of religion without tongue in cheek. “Believing in something superior reassures many people” he recalled before however indicating that this can also have a negative aspect. “But believing in something superior, it creates wars, violence, death too, it creates fear, it creates conflicts”he declared. For his part, believing in life after death, a sort of reincarnation, allows him to hold on and survive the loss of his loved ones, which he says he is convinced of finding again.
If religion can be a very sensitive subject, Anthony Delon assures that he is interested in it. “Religion is something that challenges me, that interests me, that scares me because it is contradictory, ambivalent,” he declares. Being a believer can bring positivity into the daily lives of many people. “And it’s true that it brings comfort to a large part of the planet, empathy, love, light”assures the son of Alain Delon. Aware that this may still pose many problems, Anthony Delon mentions it by recalling that it is only his opinion and his feelings.
Anthony Delon: “I have a spirituality”
The interview began with a very deep question and Anthony Delon did not necessarily expect it. “Of course! But now you are attacking me cold!”, he said before continuing:
“ Of course, I have spirituality. I believe in a higher energy, an energy of light, of love…”.
A belief that is important to the actor’s son. “I think this energy is present in every living being. Humans, trees, plants, nature… I believe in the universe, yes I believe in quite a few things,” he continues afterwards. If the death of his father was a real nightmare for him, Anthony Delon knows that he will find him one day.
