A fire broke out this Wednesday, December 4, 2024 in the northern districts of Marseille, learns Marseille newsconfirming information from our colleagues at BFM Marseille.
When contacted, the firefighters told us that the fire was cooling down.
A fire breaks out in the northern districts
It was at 11 boulevard Ampère, in the 14th arrondissement of Marseille, that a fire broke out this morning, shortly before 9:40 a.m. The boulevard is currently closed to traffic so that emergency services can intervene safely.
On site, five to six tonnes of scrap car metal burned, including empty gas cylinders, the firefighters also told us. Quickly, a burning smell spread through several areas of the city.
A fire brought under control by firefighters
At this time, the fire is under control and cooling.
This intervention mobilized 23 emergency vehicles as well as around sixty firefighters.
