Threatened by censorship which is now almost certain on Wednesday December 4, the Prime Minister tried to save his skin and that of his government one last time, this Tuesday December 3, in front of the deputies then on the 8 p.m. broadcast of TF1 and France 2.
That it seems offbeat “Welcome to Matignon” launched out of control, by a Prime Minister on borrowed time, tenant of the premises for how much longer… Promised to be censored after the use of article 49.3 on Monday in the Assembly on the Social Security budget (PLFSS), Michel Barnier received TF1 and France 2 with this welcoming message, before calling on the deputies to “responsibility reflex”. Will it be overthrown on Wednesday, December 4, by a motion voted by the New Popular Front (NFP) and the National Rally (RN)? “It depends on the deputies who each have a share of responsibility before the French, the voters of their constituency”evades the Prime Minister. Veteran of the political landscape, the Savoyard swears that he does not make deadlines “a question of political survival for” himself. On a tightrope, Barnier nevertheless remains firm in his boots, in defense of his method: “We are not in the business of bargaining or blackmail. We listened to everyone.” There is no question of giving in to the RN's latest desire, on the indexation of retirement pensions. “We made an effort. We have decided to protect small pensions”underlines the head of government, in allusion to the gesture already granted to the right to revalue the smallest pensions in line with inflation.
Before the viewers, Barnier called the deputies to witness one last time, this Tuesday afternoon during questions to the government. Cr arm
