The rectorate of the Dijon academy announced the suspension of a teacher from the Stephen Liégeard high school in Brochon. This decision was taken by the rector on Friday November 29, following the arrest of the teacher by the authorities for facts related to the consultation of child pornography images. The Dijon public prosecutor transmitted this information to the rectorate, leading to an immediate reaction from the academic authorities.
Although the teacher is presumed innocent until proven guilty, he will have to answer to these accusations in court on January 20, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. While awaiting the judgment, the Dijon academy has taken measures to guarantee the safety and well-being of the establishment's students and staff.
As of Monday morning, a monitoring and support unit was set up to support the head of the establishment and the teaching teams.
