3 million euros less in Pays de la Loire

For this, the reduction in the subsidy would represent 282 000 € on a budget of 4.5 million…

“Without any consultation,” adds this manager. “It’s about 7 to 8% of our operations that were eliminated overnight. »

What consequences for the local Mission?

This measure would consequently lead to a decline in “human resources” made available. “Today, starting next year,” explains Quentin Portier, “we know that we will have to reduce the number of employees of the local Mission. This will undoubtedly involve non-replacements. There will be no layoffs. »

Apart from supporting young people, the Local Mission carries out partnership work “with a certain number of associations which work for gender equality, health, against dropping out of school…” In other words, a range of services which risks disappearing .

Christelle Morançais will speak “at the end of the week”

The representatives of the local missions would like, before the adoption of the budget at the end of the year, a dialogue to be conducted with the regional council.

“I will speak as planned at the end of the week when the budget will be transmitted to the regional advisors,” indicated the President of the Region, Christelle Morançais on X.

Proposals rejected

“All the proposals we made to change our decision were rejected outright,” confides the president of the Local Mission of the Mancelle metropolitan area. “It would be the only region in France which no longer supports local missions. »

As for other communities (including Le Mans Metropolis and the Department), they also have to face increasingly constrained finances.
