The town of Coudekerque-Branche has hidden golden tickets in chocolate bars that it sells for two euros each.
A golden ticket to Disneyland. Inspired by the story of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, the town hall of Coudekerque-Branche (North) hid five golden tickets in chocolate bars to win a family trip to the famous amusement park.
“We sold 350 tablets in less than an hour”
The golden tickets, worth 1,000 euros, were hidden in the 2,000 tablets created for the occasion. And while some residents will wait until Christmas to open their tablet, others cannot resist the temptation.
“It’s really nice, it attracts people, the children are happy,” says Loïc. “And then, why not try your luck and win,” adds Priscilla. “It can allow families who don’t necessarily have the means to go to Disney to be able to travel, that’s cool,” says Loona.
Sold for two euros each, these tablets are selling like hot cakes. “We had planned 150 tablets, we had to restock. We sold 350 in less than an hour. The enthusiasm is there. The Christmas holidays, that's the magic of Christmas: it's the want to share together. The Coudekerquois have already responded this evening”, explains the mayor (PS) of the town David Bailleul.
These chocolate bars are produced locally in the Cémoi factory in Bourbourg. This is a first for the factory director, happy to see the company “participate in a somewhat festive event” and which “pleases the employees”
“I believe that they are proud of what they do here. It is important that we can promote that too. And afterwards, I found the initiative interesting and original, so there is no reason why we don’t support events like that,” says Christophe Duwat.
These tablets will be on sale during around fifteen events in the town of Coudekerque.
