Live from a hounds hunt in the Orléans forest: “We talked a little too much about ourselves”

On this Wednesday, November 27, the Rallye Vouzeron met its troops at the Châtenoy crossroads, in the Orléans forest, for a hunt.

In addition to the hunters who are on horseback, there are people who follow in cars and others on bicycles. Around 10:45 a.m., Adrien Béjot, the boatswain, prepared, faces the pack of 46 dogs who are going to track down a deer. After listening to reports from bloodhound servants who have been walking the paths at daybreak, he decides in which direction he will lead the dogs in order to flush out prey.

After several incidents in the , we wanted to follow a hunt in the field.

“We talked a little too much about ourselves”

“Welcome everyone on this rainy and windy day. Thanks to Chantal [Langlais, déléguée régionale Centre-Val de et Île-de- de la société de vénerie] who is doing a lot of work to defend us”, declares, in the preamble, the boatswain.

“We talked a little too much about us and the AVA [association de protection animale] fakes the images that serve as a sounding board. We too can take advantage of our right to image, our right to information. If we ever notice any inconvenience, we must call the gendarmerie to have this obstacle recognized,” adds Christophe Posty, the assistant boatswain.
