A house fire broke out this Monday at the end of the day in the town of Saint-Jean-du-Bruel. A man was transported to the Millau hospital center after inhaling smoke.
Dramatic intervention for the Aveyron firefighters this Monday, December 2. Around 6 p.m., they were contacted to intervene on what was presented as a bedroom fire. A fire hits a house in a place called Lesprès, in the Saint-Jean-du-Bruel sector.
By the time they arrived on the scene, the emergency services noticed that the fire had spread and was widespread throughout the two-story house. In total, no less than 7 vehicles and 19 firefighters from the centers of Nant, Millau, Roquefort and Caylar were mobilized to deal with the blaze.
Four victims treated
Significant resources and numerous lances necessary to deal with the major damage caused by the flames to the 100m² home.
Four people were in the house at the time of the fire. Two women aged 42 and 53 respectively, a third aged 76 and a man aged 76.
After a health check-up carried out on site, only the man required hospitalization and was transported to Millau after he inhaled fumes which bothered him.
This Tuesday, December 3 in the morning, a vehicle from the Aveyron Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS 12) was still on site to provide surveillance, but the damage to the building is already significant.
