The 12th edition of the Christmas market will take place on Saturday December 7, in every corner of the town hall and on the square. Shows will take place all afternoon in the auditorium, free of charge.
You are not likely to see the time pass, Saturday December 7, at the town hall of Boulazac. The site will be invaded by chalets and exhibitors offering their products for Christmas. They mainly come from the commune or canton, a voluntary choice of the municipality. Above all, this event grows every year. “We are forced to refuse exhibitors due to lack of places, we prefer to favor people from the municipality and the canton. The walls are not big enough,” smiles Serge Raynaud, the first deputy. Thus, from 40 exhibitors in 2023, there will be more than 55 this year. The outdoor chalets, dedicated to food, will be doubled, from 3 to 7.
On the square, all day long, visitors will be able to enjoy a small Alsatian restaurant and a Christmas tree sale offered by the Secular Association of the Joliot-Curie school. A free carousel will delight young and old, as will duck fishing. At 11:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., a percussion show will liven up this Christmas market, weather permitting.
Cooking, decoration and games workshops
Children will also be able to participate in workshops. The first, a musical awareness workshop at the Louis-Aragon media library, at 11:15 a.m., then a cooking workshop and creative workshops, within the town hall. This last workshop will be the only activity where financial participation will be requested. There will even be a Santa Claus workshop, in the wedding hall with construction games, decorations to make and even a workshop for writing to the real Santa Claus. And if you prefer to speak to him in person, Santa Claus will be there. It will even be possible to take a photo, for free, with him.
In the afternoon, it's the auditorium that will see all the colors. The Bim Bam Boum choir will begin at 2:30 p.m., the Boulazac artistic workshop will take over at 3:30 p.m. with a dance show, followed by The Speedy Turtles for a country performance, before finishing with magic at 5 p.m. with Rémy Marvely’s new show. A lively day which should amaze and bring together all generations.
