A Tesla app for the Apple Watch and a Santa mode
This is probably the new thing that Tesla users were waiting for the most: Tesla finally arrives on Apple Watch. With this application, you no longer need to take out your smartphone to lock or unlock your car. From your wrist, you can check the battery charge, adjust the air conditioning and even open the frunk (the front trunk, for short).
Practical navigation improvements
Tesla doesn't stop there and brings great developments to its navigation system. Now you can view live weather radar to better anticipate conditions at your destination. Estimated detour times also factor into the journey, whether for a coffee stop or a quick recharge.
Another useful feature: the possibility of set a desired battery charge level upon arrivalwith automatic stop adjustments along the way. These convenient additions simplify daily commutes and long trips, while making the Tesla experience more intuitive.
Another highly anticipated improvement now allows retrieve videos recorded by sentinel mode or car cameras, directly on your phonewithout using a USB key. An addition that will delight users.
Finally, further updates regarding autonomous driving are available. Unfortunately, they do not concern French users, who remain very limited on this point. For example, the autonomous navigation function for exiting the parking lot remains extremely restricted in France, as Didier observed.
And some gadgets
Another bonus which should not concern us, since it is not sold here: the Cybertruck gets into holiday season with a “Santa” mode that transforms the vehicle’s avatar into a sleighreindeer and elves included. For other models (S, 3, X, Y), Tesla offers new light animations that can be synchronized via the application, ideal for lighting up the holidays.
Finally, it’s impossible not to mention the “Fart on Contact” function, which triggers a farting noise as soon as a seat detects a person. Useless, of course, but enough to lighten the atmosphere when you bring your mother-in-law back after Christmas dinner.
