Lhe Olympic Games are certainly now only a rather distant, but pleasant memory. But you might just be able to get a little piece of these Olympics, and at a low price. In fact, furniture from the Olympic village is sold in all Emmaüs in France. There are still 54,000 pieces, and among them there may be little nuggets hidden, as reported by France 3 Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

In the community of Planay in Côte-d'Or, the first pieces have been on sale since Wednesday, November 27. Tables, poufs, armchairs…. 150 pieces of furniture, from the Olympic village, are available there. Did they belong to the star of the Games, Léon Marchand, to Teddy Riner, to Cassandre Beaugrand or to one of the Lebrun brothers? The suspense remains, no information being available on this subject.

The advantage of this furniture, beyond their history, is also that they are “quite modern and new, since they have been used very little”, underlines Rachel Fernagu, the deputy manager of the local Emmaüs. The curious therefore hurry and take the time to test before buying. The prices, obviously, are attractive: twenty euros for a pouf, thirty euros for an armchair… “It defies all competition,” confirms a regular.
Material transported for several more years
This Sunday, several pieces were still available. The stock is running out little by little. In Planay, as in most Emmaüs in France, furniture will continue to be delivered for the next three years. While the official account of the Paris Olympics on Instagram has erased all traces of the event, this is enough to continue, a little longer, the parenthesis of summer frenzy that these Olympic Games will have been.
